Giving Back

September 2022

#givingback is always uplifting. The Beckett Project golf tournament, held Aug 9 FireRock Golf Club , raised almost $8 thousand dollars for our fund within London Community Foundation. We are so pleased to donate $5000 to National Service Dogs. NSD ambassador dog Chartwell looks on as we pose with our "big cheque". Building strong community ties, raising awareness about #mentalhealth and #suicideprevention. A huge thank you to all the golfers and our sponsors.

June 10, 2022

Very proud to help Whitecaps London.  Three seasons in 4 hours on a June Friday.  Volunteering at the fields, we were hot, wet, cold and then back to warm.  A good night supporting a great group @endwomanabuse Shine the Light Soccer Tournament.

Jan 25, 2022 - A sunny and refreshing day made better through kindness. The Beckett Project donated to V-EH Veterans and Everyday Heroes following our Christmas Craft Beer Gift package campaign. Thank you to all who supported our latest fundraiser. #riggs the "superdog" is proof positive that #servicedogs make a huge difference. Cheers everyone !

Nov 27, 2021 - The Beckett Project set up a booth at #Ourlocalfoodstory on Dundas Place as part of CCMA country music week.  We had a family friendly Plinko game, gave away lots of  London Ice Cream CO samples - special ice cream that warmed you up on a cold day !   We met so many people the community and continued conversations about the importance of your mental health.  Kindness matters !

July 19, 2021 - The Beckett Project visited SARI today. Thank you to Janine Langley, Executive Director, who gave us a tour on this super summer day. Our Mothers Day Box event was a great success for our foundation and for SARI Therapeutic Riding. After months of lockdown, we were able to present a cheque in person. We learned today SARI is looking for volunteers. Please consider SARI if you have the urge to give back !

The Beckett Project is so proud to help The Aeolian Hall

spread music and change lives. The Arts can enlighten and transform. Creative people help bring joy to life, something particularly resonant in 2020/21.

Pictured here are Ann and Clark Bryan, Artistic and Executive Director of the Aeolian.

On a personal note, we have added a small part to the history of this iconic London hall. Family have graced her stage. Our 2019 Improv Beckett Project event was held there. Most important of all, Ann and Paul were married at the Aeolian. Beckett played the part of Elwood Blues so well, always reminding us “everybody needs somebody to love”.

Please check out all the Aeolian does for our community here. Support the arts any way you can !

Ann braving the cold to make a cheque presentation to Rachel from National Service dogs on behalf of the Beckett Project. Thanks to your support during our "Locked Up for Love" campaign, we have made another $5000 donation to National Service Dogs. Tu , NSD Piper and NSD Merel are sitting pretty for the picture. #grateful #servicedog

Ann, Ridley and myself are so very Proud to make our biggest Donation yet National Service Dogs.  Thanks to Lynne and everyone (and every dog) for making this experience so wonderful.

In the midst of the Pandemic, outreach and support programs are even more of a challenge.  The Beckett Project has again offered support the local chapter of PFLAG, a national charitable organization, founded by parents who wished to help themselves and their family members understand and accept their LGBTQ2S children.

The 2020 Spartan Robotics

Beckett is still making a difference for this group !

The Beckett Project donated to FEMAP,  a program helping older teens and young adults (age 16-25) with emotional concerns that fall into the categories of mood and/or anxiety symptoms.  FEMAP provides a safe and confidential place for youth to get help early, before symptoms begin to disrupt lives.

Soccer brings everyone together. This event helped to fund the Shine a Light campaign.

Purple is a symbol of courage, survival and honour, and has come to symbolize the fight to end woman abuse.

A truly worthy cause. The Beckett Project made a donation to the Bradshaw Open. Every year another child afflicted with cancer is supported directly by this event. Blake Bradshaw runs this tournament annually and has raised 194k to date in honour of his mom
